Holly Yates



Holly Yates has studied, practiced and taught yoga for more than 18 years, including Classical Ashatanga Yoga (8 Limbs system/8 steps to Peace), Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga and Yoga Therapy. Having studied under Baba Hari Dass and the many other instructors of the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, as well as Carol Ann Nussey and others, and having completed several teacher trainings she now teaches yoga classes of all skill levels.

Holly recently, February 2010, successfully completed an intensive teachers training in India at the Lakulish Institute of Yoga in India. During her time in India she also received teachings from her Guru Swami Rajarshi Muni. While in India, Holly participated in the Lakulish World Open Yogasan Championships and received a gold medal in her category.

Holly's study and practice of Yoga has taught her to care for herself and others with a deep sense of compassion and understanding. Yoga has taught her to be creative and has awakened her mind, body and spirit. She currently is the owner operator of The Yoga Studio and is fulfilling her life dream of practicing, studying and teaching yoga.
